
Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, signed a decree initiating the formation of the State Security Service. According to the president's press service, this decision aims to improve the security system for protected facilities and individuals.
The new structure will be based on the 9th service of the State Committee for National Security and will report directly to the president, becoming part of the country's national security system.
In accordance with the legislation, the State Security Service will engage in security activities, ensuring the safety of both protected facilities and individuals.
The head of this service will be appointed and dismissed by the president, similar to his deputies, who will be appointed upon the recommendation of the head of the service.
The activities of the new body will be regulated by the Constitution, the law on state security, this decree, and other relevant regulatory acts.
The president will also approve the service's regulations, its staffing, and structure. The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to adapt its decisions in accordance with the new decree and take necessary actions.
The decree will come into effect upon its official publication.
