A State Security Service has been established under the President in Kyrgyzstan

In accordance with the decree of President Sadyr Japarov, signed recently, a reform of the state security system in Kyrgyzstan has been initiated.

As part of this decree, the establishment of a State Security Service is planned, which will be formed based on the ninth service of the State Committee for National Security.

According to the document, the new service will be directly subordinate to the president and included in the national security system. It will be responsible for security measures, as well as ensuring the safety of both protected facilities and individuals.

The president will appoint and dismiss the chairman of the State Security Service. The deputies of the chairman will be appointed and dismissed upon the recommendation of the head of the service.

The structure, staffing levels, and regulations of the new service will be approved by the president.

The Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to align its decisions with this decree and take necessary measures arising from it.

The decree will come into effect from the moment of its official publication.
