The main objective of this regulation is to establish minimum requirements for the operation of pawnshops. These rules apply to all legal entities that hold licenses to conduct their activities in the country.
According to the new rules, the minimum charter capital of pawnshops will increase as follows:
- from January 1, 2025 - at least 3,000,000 soms;
- from July 1, 2026 - at least 7,000,000 soms;
- from July 1, 2027 - at least 14,000,000 soms;
- from July 1, 2028 - at least 20,000,000 soms.
These changes will come into effect 15 days after their official publication.
