The issue discussed was that prices for dishes and services are formed according to the menu and assortment, where the cost per portion and its weight are specified. Each establishment independently sets prices for its dishes.
According to the antimonopoly service, in January 2026, there is an increase in prices for public catering services, with some establishments experiencing a rise of more than 15%.
Representatives of the restaurants confirmed that starting from January 1, 2026, the service charge is not listed as a separate line in the bill, and the revision of prices for dishes is due to increased costs in the following areas:
- increased rental rates;
- rising prices for utilities and fuel;
- increased prices for ingredients for dish preparation;
- increased operating expenses, including the purchase of dishes and sanitary-hygienic supplies;
- increased wages for employees and tax obligations.
During the round table, participants agreed on the need to optimize prices for public catering services and to implement a 10% discount on orders and takeout of ready meals.
The Association of Hoteliers and Restaurateurs, HoReCa Club, will prepare an analytical report in the coming days, which will be presented to the antimonopoly service for joint development of measures to stabilize the price situation.
