A working meeting initiated by the LLC "Rikha" took place between the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Department of Technical Regulation and Metrology, and the State Institution "Center for the Development of the Halal Industry".

We remind you that on January 19, 2026, at a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on Budget, Economy, and Entrepreneurship, accusations were made against LLC "Rikha", including claims of "revoked licenses" and "improper accreditation", as well as possible violations of "halal" standards. However, the company denied these statements, which was later confirmed by the "Center for the Development of the Halal Industry". The Agro-Industrial Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic called for compliance with the laws concerning the manufacturer.

During the meeting, the requirements of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the Halal Industry", licensing, as well as the process of declaring compliance of products with the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union and certification for compliance with halal standards were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to last year's incident when pork DNA was found in the products of LLC "Rikha". To address this issue, a meeting was held on December 9, 2025, at the State Institution "Center for the Development of the Halal Industry" with the participation of representatives from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, LLC "Rikha", and the State Institution "Center for Veterinary Diagnostics and Expertise". As a result of this meeting, the company took a number of necessary measures.

Repeated laboratory tests conducted in January 2026 confirmed the absence of pork DNA in the products.

As a result of the working meeting, mutual understanding was achieved, and the parties agreed on further cooperation in promoting local products.

The State Institution "Center for the Development of the Halal Industry" previously reported on the revision of approaches to certification in the halal industry. Necessary changes to the Code of Offenses are being prepared to combat fraud and protect consumers from deception regarding halal certification issues.
