The Agro-Industrial Association commented on the situation surrounding the domestic producer
The Association for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Kyrgyz Republic made an official statement regarding the situation related to the producer LLC "Rikha".

It is worth noting that on January 19, 2026, during a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on economics, budget, and entrepreneurship, claims were made that the company "Rikha" allegedly had its "license revoked," "failed the accreditation process," as well as possible violations of "halal" standards.
In its address, the association noted that at the present time, LLC "Rikha" has not received any official notifications from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic or other authorized bodies regarding the revocation of permits, identified violations, or restrictions on its activities.

Association representatives emphasized that the production and sale of sausage products do not require licensing, and private enterprises are not subject to state accreditation, but instead undergo product certification. Halal certification is voluntary. Moreover, LLC "Rikha" has valid certificates issued by authorized organizations from both the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the association, LLC "Rikha" has:

The association also noted that laboratory tests conducted in an accredited state laboratory found no traces of pork in the products of LLC "Rikha," as confirmed by the test protocols.

The producers' association emphasized that they continuously monitor the situation in the agricultural and food processing market, as well as track the information flow related to the activities of domestic producers.

The association reminded that it has previously faced situations where unchecked or distorted public interpretations led to public pressure and reputational risks for businesses and the entire industry. Such reputational risks can extend beyond the domestic market, and any incorrect public statement can quickly spread to neighboring markets, creating a negative backdrop for the entire food and processing industry.

The Center for the Development of the Halal Industry also previously stated that the company's license had not been revoked, and that the organization that issued the certificate has ceased to exist.

The State Institution "Center for the Development of the Halal Industry" added that the approach to certification in the halal industry is currently being reviewed. Changes are being made to the Code of Offenses regarding the fight against fraud and consumer protection in the field of halal certification.
