The agenda included issues related to the implementation of the Law "On the Halal Industry in the Kyrgyz Republic," licensing, as well as the procedures for declaring compliance of products with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union and certification according to halal standards.
Special attention was given by the meeting participants to the incident involving the detection of pork DNA in the products of the company OsOO "Rikha" last year.
To address this situation, a meeting was held on December 9, 2025, at the State Institution "Center for the Development of the Halal Industry," which was attended by representatives of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, OsOO "Rikha," and the State Institution "Center for Veterinary Diagnostics and Expertise," as noted by the Ministry of Economy.
As a result of the measures taken, OsOO "Rikha" conducted repeated laboratory tests in January 2026, which confirmed the absence of pork DNA in their products.
All meeting participants reached a consensus on the importance of further cooperation to promote local products.
