Syimyk Zhapikeev: I am an honest person, I don't ask for money.
The former head of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes commented on rumors of 5 million dollars for his resignation
Sıymık Japykeev, the former chairman of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes, answered a question from journalist Ernis Kyazov about whether he received 5 million dollars for his resignation following the events of October 2020.
According to rumors, during his service, Japykeev allegedly received 500 thousand dollars, the rank of general, as well as a "buyout" of 5 million dollars and a pension. However, he categorically denied these rumors.
"At one point, I needed 30 thousand dollars. Sadyr Japarov could not help me with that amount. I received 10 thousand dollars from him as assistance, but about the 5 million dollars... How many people believe in this. As if they were there and held my hand. I am an honest person, I do not ask for a tyiyn-pyiyn," Japykeev noted.
The former head of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes also stated that he does not receive a pension.
"For that, 20 years of service is required. I was short by 10 months," he added.
