Syimyq Zhapikeev: I haven't read the novel "Plakha," but the plot is mediocre.
In an interview, the former head of the Financial Police, Syimyk Zhapikeev, criticized the works of the famous writer Chinghiz Aitmatov, pointing out the lack of proper spiritual direction in them.
In his opinion, Aitmatov's works do not provide readers with "hidayat" — an Arabic term meaning the right direction, and do not contribute to personal development.
“Chinghiz Aitmatov praised the Soviet Union. Even if a welder is familiar with his works, he will remain a welder, and a doctor will remain a doctor. I believe that his works do not provide 'hidayat'. Although I have not read the novel 'The Scaffold', it seems to me that it lacks a deep plot and the necessary spirituality. At the same time, films with Bruce Lee inspire one to strive for his level. The same goes for Rumi, Al-Biruni, and Jami, whose works also inspire,” Zhapikeev stated.
It should be noted that Chinghiz Aitmatov is considered one of the most widely read writers of modern times. His books have been translated into 157–176 languages, and the total circulation exceeds tens of millions of copies.
Syimyk Zhapikeev is known for being appointed head of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes on October 17, 2020, but was dismissed in March 2021 due to the disbandment of the service. At the end of March 2021, he was appointed prosecutor of the Issyk-Kul region, but a month later he resigned.
