Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh Familiarized Themselves with the Operation of the Waste Recycling Plant in Bishkek

The event was also attended by the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, and representatives of city services.
The deputies got acquainted with the operation of the plant, its technical equipment, and production capacities. They also observed the processes of waste reception and incineration, as well as electricity generation. Representatives of the plant talked about automation systems, technical processes, and compliance with environmental standards.
Aibek Junushaliev noted that the plant currently processes about 1,000 tons of waste daily and produces up to 30 kilowatts of electricity per hour. In the future, it is planned to increase the production capacity of the enterprise.
During the meeting, the deputies discussed many aspects of the plant's operation, including the construction of similar facilities in the south of the country, the conditions of investment agreements, the training of young specialists in cooperation with universities, the reclamation of old landfills, and the greening of the surrounding area. They also considered issues related to the employment of citizens of Kyrgyzstan, wage levels and working conditions, as well as the organization of waste removal from suburban areas.
Additionally, the participants of the meeting discussed problems related to smog and air pollution in the capital, measures to improve air quality and reduce traffic congestion, as well as progress in the implementation of relevant urban programs.
