The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan Discussed the Development of Transport Corridors
The foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan held a phone conversation during which they discussed the most important issues of bilateral relations. The main focus was on the development of international transport corridors and increasing the capacity at joint customs points, as reported by the press service of the foreign ministry.
The parties emphasized the need for more active coordination between the relevant agencies to ensure uninterrupted cargo transit, as well as to improve conditions for trade and logistics in the region. An important point of discussion was the measures aimed at optimizing transport routes between the two countries.
During the conversation, the ministers also discussed preparations for high-level meetings scheduled for 2026. They noted that such meetings of leaders play a key role in strengthening the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
As a result of the conversation, the heads of the foreign ministries expressed their readiness to continue active political dialogue and practical cooperation on all issues related to bilateral relations.
