The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan discussed transport cooperation

Today, January 14, 2026, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev and his Uzbek counterpart Bakhtiyor Saidov, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the conversation, the ministers discussed important issues related to the development of international transport corridors, as well as the optimization of customs operations at the border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. One of the key topics was the coordination of actions among relevant agencies to ensure uninterrupted cargo transit and simplify trade in the region.

In addition, the participants of the conversation discussed the preparation of high-level visits this year and expressed their interest in continuing the dialogue and deepening practical cooperation on bilateral issues.
