Prosecutor General's Office: Illegal Transfer of 104 Hectares of Forest Land for Rent Discovered in Naryn Region
According to the supervisory authority, from 2019 to 2024, employees of the Jumgal forestry conducted formal competitions for the lease of land plots. At the same time, they created fictitious minutes of the competition meetings.
Based on these forged documents, 49 citizens were allocated land plots with a total area of 104.19 hectares for a period of 49 years, as reported by the General Prosecutor's Office.
“The responsible individuals used their official powers for personal interests, which contradicts their official duties. As a result of the inspection, a criminal case was initiated under Article 346 of the Criminal Code (‘Official Forgery’),” the prosecutor's office reported.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
