In the "Karatala-Zhapyrik" Reserve, winter feeding of wild animals was conducted

From January 13 to 14, events for the winter feeding of wild ungulates were organized in the territory of the state reserve "Karatel-Japyrik," specifically in the Karatash area. This information was made public by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Specialists from the ministry placed feed in designated areas, which had been prepared during the summer-autumn period. This included hay, branch feed, and salt.

These actions are aimed at improving the nutrition of wild animals during the winter period, which helps to preserve their population and minimize stress factors.

The reserve is home to ungulates such as the argali, ibex, mountain goat, maral, and roe deer, as well as predatory species including wolves, snow leopards, and lynxes. "The reserve is also home to rare birds, among which one can find the mountain goose, black stork, demoiselle crane, and golden eagle," the statement added.
