In Chuy Region, a suspect in a $27,000 fraud case has been detained

According to information provided by the police, the incident occurred on January 13, 2026, when I. A. approached the Internal Affairs Department of the Alamudun District. He filed a complaint against S. K., claiming that he, having gained his trust, promised to provide legal assistance regarding the acquisition of a land plot of 82 hectares in the Uzun-Kyr Ayil Okmotu of the Issyk-Ata District, as well as to document 200 hectares of underutilized land in the forestry. As a result, the man received $27,000 from the complainant and then disappeared.

The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in a temporary detention facility. Further investigation is ongoing.
