In the Chui region, law enforcement officers have detained a man suspected of committing fraud amounting to $27,000.
According to information provided by the police, in January 2026, a citizen approached the Department of Internal Affairs of the Alamudun district, reporting about an acquaintance who had taken advantage of his trust. Under the pretext of providing legal assistance, this person received money and then cut off all communication with him.
The case involved the process of obtaining a land plot of 82 hectares in the Uzun-Kyr rural administration of the Issyk-Ata district, as well as the documentation for 200 hectares of land in the forestry.
A criminal case was initiated under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. As a result of operational activities, the suspect was identified as S.K., born in 1983, who was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
