The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) has stopped an illegal migration channel from South Asia and the Middle East.
In Bishkek, the activities of a criminal network engaged in the illegal migration of foreign citizens have been thwarted. This information was provided by the press service of the GKNB.
On March 16, 2026, as a result of operational-search activities, two individuals were detained: "A.M.", the organizer, and his accomplice "I.T.V.".
During the investigation, it was established that they were involved in the forgery and sale of medical certificates of form No. 086, necessary for extending visas for foreign citizens in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detained "A.M.", a citizen of Pakistan, provided ready-made medical certificates to people of Pakistani and Bengali descent without conducting any real medical examination. A medical worker from the National Hospital, "I.T.V.", was also involved in this scheme.
During searches at the residences of "A.M." and the workplace of "I.T.V.", more than 160 fake medical certificates were seized, which were used to process visas allowing foreigners to stay in the country.
Security services also noted that in light of the outbreak of the "Nipah" virus in South Asian countries, which has a high fatality rate, the presence of foreign citizens in Kyrgyzstan without medical examination poses a serious threat to the sanitary and epidemiological situation, which is a pressing issue of national security.
