Suspect Detained for Disseminating Extremist Materials on Social Media
According to the information provided by the press service, operational staff of the Service for Countering Extremism and Illegal Migration of the Internal Affairs Department conducted a series of activities during which a citizen was detained for distributing materials that are banned in the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the examination data, the detainee published materials on the internet related to extremist and terrorist organizations.
Based on the collected evidence and the conclusions of the examination, a criminal case was initiated under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which concerns "Manufacturing and distributing extremist materials," as well as under Article 330, which relates to "Inciting racial, ethnic, national, religious, or interregional hostility." Operational investigative actions have begun.
As a result of these activities, the suspect — J. uulu M., born in 1992, was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Investigative actions are currently ongoing to identify other individuals connected to this criminal case,” the statement noted.
