In the Osh region, suspects in the distribution of extremist materials have been detained

The Department for Countering Extremism and Illegal Migration of the Osh Region Internal Affairs Directorate conducted an operation to detain individuals who, according to law enforcement agencies, were distributing prohibited materials on social media within the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the police, an examination confirmed that materials related to extremist and terrorist groups were posted online.

Based on the collected evidence and the expert conclusion, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 332 "Preparation and Distribution of Extremist Materials" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and operational investigative actions have begun.

Detained.
As a result of operational-search activities, D. G., born in 1994, and Y. B., born in 1999, were detained. The court has decided to place them in custody.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to identify other individuals involved in this case.
