According to the investigation, Jakypbekov organized a criminal group that included both active employees of the special services and civilians. The main goal of this group was personal enrichment.
During the investigation, law enforcement agencies detained five suspects. The Pervomaisky District Court in Bishkek applied a preventive measure in the form of arrest. Currently, the detainees are in the temporary detention facility of the capital's Main Internal Affairs Directorate and the SIZO-21 of the Ministry of Justice.
The GKNB's internal security service conducted an internal investigation, which resulted in serious disciplinary measures being taken:
- six employees were dismissed from the national security agencies;
- six employees were suspended from their positions and transferred to the agency's disposal;
- one candidate for service was removed from the list of applicants;
- eight employees received various types of disciplinary sanctions.
The special services continue their efforts to identify other individuals involved in corrupt activities. The case is under the control of supervisory authorities.
