The woman's daughter was interrogated by law enforcement before the tragic incident
A tragedy occurred in the Issyk-Kul region, in the village of Ak-Suu: a woman set herself on fire after learning about her underage daughter's pregnancy. As a result of this horrific incident, she passed away. The information about the event was confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to law enforcement, on February 25, the Internal Affairs Department of the Ak-Suu district learned that a 14-year-old girl named M.A., born in 2009, was 16 weeks pregnant. She was invited for questioning, but her mother decided not to attend.
On the same day, leaving the house under the pretext of going to the store for drinks, the woman doused herself with gasoline and set herself on fire. The injuries she sustained were fatal, and she died in the regional hospital.
A forensic medical examination has now been appointed, and the case has been registered with the Internal Affairs Department of the Ak-Suu district. Investigative activities are underway.
