The detention occurred on February 2, when local residents contacted service 102 to report a strange object found near the fence of a new building. An investigative operational group from the Lenin District Internal Affairs Directorate was called to the scene. Upon inspecting the area, they discovered a package wrapped in duct tape. One of the informants indicated that he managed to capture the moment the object was left on video.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding this incident under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal production and distribution of drugs and psychotropic substances.
As a result of operational-search activities, a 22-year-old citizen A.B. was detained. When checking his phone in the Telegram messenger, law enforcement found correspondence with a user named Azamat, which contained information about the locations of "placers" and the quantity of packaged substances. The detainee himself admitted that he had been involved in the distribution of psychotropic substances for about a month.
During further actions, the police managed to seize more than 40 packets from various hiding places, based on the detainee's testimony. An examination conducted by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate confirmed that the seized substance is a psychotropic compound weighing about 120 grams.
The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
