According to the investigation, the detainee L.D.T. was brought to the Department of Internal Affairs No. 2 on charges of "petty hooliganism." However, instead of processing the necessary documents, the police officers, as established by the inspection, unjustifiably used force against the detainee, seeking to demonstrate their authority.
After the incident, the victim was provided with assistance and was taken to the National Hospital by an ambulance crew. Doctors diagnosed him with a closed traumatic brain injury, a concussion, as well as a closed spinal injury with fractures of the transverse processes of two vertebrae, and bruises to the face and lower back.
As a result of the investigation, junior lieutenant of police R. u M. was arrested.
Currently, the investigation continues to identify other possible participants in this incident among law enforcement officers.
