Rita Karasartova reported a violation of rights in SIZO-1. Response from the GSIN
On her social media page, she stated that according to the law, individuals held in detention centers have the right to a 15-minute phone call with relatives once a week. However, according to her, this right is not being upheld.
The press service of the GPS, in response to Karasartova's accusations, denied her statements.
The agency clarified that upon entering SIZO, defendants are informed of their rights and obligations, as well as the daily schedule and operational regime of the institution. The GPS added that this information is provided for acknowledgment.
Additionally, the press service noted that excerpts from the internal regulations concerning the rights and obligations of defendants are posted on information boards inside the cells where they are held.
The GPS emphasized that all actions are carried out in accordance with current legislation and expressed its readiness to defend its position in court.
