It became known that on February 18, the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek granted a petition from the investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' investigative service, as a result of which Tolonov, accused under Article 336 "Corruption" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, was placed in custody until April 16.
On the afternoon of February 21, the presidential administration confirmed that Chynberdi Tolonov previously held the position of head of the state buildings department under the Presidential Administration. Since December 2025, this position has been held by Temirkul Baltabaev.
