Recently, police officers detained a suspect in a phone fraud case, as reported by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek.
On December 12, 2025, a pensioner named M. O., born in 1949, approached the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department. She reported that the criminals, posing as law enforcement officers, managed to deceitfully obtain her money in the amount of 850,000 soms. After that, they ceased all communication.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
During operational-search activities, a citizen identified as A. Zh., born in 2004, was detained. In accordance with Articles 96–97 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, he has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate.
