A teenager suspected of selling psychotropic substances has been detained in the Issyk-Ata district.

According to information provided by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chuy Region, on February 11, 2026, information was received at the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Ata District regarding the possible storage and distribution of narcotic substances in one of the houses in the village of Novopokrovka. An investigative-operational group was dispatched to the scene, and the obtained data was confirmed.

During the operational activities, around 13:30, police officers detained the suspect. During a personal search, a white powdery substance was found, packaged in bundles and wrapped in duct tape.

The young man was placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to clarify all the circumstances of the case and possible accomplices. The investigation is continuing.
