According to the police, on February 10, 2026, a woman named Sh. Ch. approached the department with a complaint. She stated that on February 5, at approximately 12:30 PM, at the corner of J. Bokonbaev and Yu. Abdrakhmanov streets, an unfamiliar man, who introduced himself as B., deceitfully obtained $57,000 from her under the pretext of supplying four cars of various brands. Ultimately, he did not fulfill his promise and disappeared.
Based on this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
A suspect in a $57,000 fraud has been detained in Bishkek.
As a result of operational measures, employees of the Internal Affairs Department of the Sverdlovsk district were able to identify the suspect, who turned out to be Z. B., born in 1995. He was taken to the investigative authorities and, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department.
