
During the operational and preventive measures "Arsenal," conducted in the Issyk-Kul region, law enforcement agencies seized a large amount of weapons and identified a number of violations. This was reported by the regional police department.
According to police information, in January 2026, 28 facilities with permits and 1,547 hunters were checked. As a result of the inspections, 54 administrative protocols were drawn up, with a total fine amounting to 147,000 soms.
As a result of violations of hunting rules, 25 units of weapons were seized, and another 16 units were confiscated as part of criminal cases. In addition, citizens voluntarily surrendered 31 units of firearms.
Furthermore, during the operation, eight crimes were solved, and two cases of environmental violations were discovered.
In order to enhance public safety, joint activities were conducted with relevant services to cull dangerous wild animals, resulting in the elimination of 18 wolves and 23 stray dogs.
The police noted that meetings are held in populated areas with local residents to discuss issues of safety, compliance with legislation, and environmental protection.
