
The internal affairs bodies of the Issyk-Kul region are conducting large-scale operational and preventive measures called "Arsenal".
According to the police, the main task of these measures is to prevent offenses related to firearms, as well as to combat poaching in the region.
In January 2026, 28 facilities with permits and 1,547 hunters were checked. As a result of the inspections, 54 administrative protocols were drawn up, and the total amount of fines imposed was 147,000 soms.

During these measures, 8 crimes were solved and 2 environmental violations were identified in the region.
Also, in order to enhance public safety, work was carried out together with relevant services and public organizations to eliminate dangerous wild animals: 18 jackals and 23 stray dogs were eliminated.
"Meetings are held with local residents in rural areas of the region, during which explanatory work is carried out on issues of citizen safety, compliance with the law, and environmental protection," noted police representatives.
