The State Revenue Service uncovered illegal alcohol production workshops in Bishkek and the Chui region.
During the operations in Bishkek, significant volumes of alcoholic products were seized: 902 liters of alcohol, 381 bottles of "Wheat" vodka, as well as 43 liters of diluted alcohol. In addition, devices intended for bottling and producing vodka in cups, and 164 counterfeit excise stamps were confiscated.
According to the agency, this production was carried out without the necessary permits and licenses, as well as without excise stamps and payment of the corresponding taxes, including excise tax.
All materials related to these violations have been transferred to law enforcement agencies for further legal assessment.
Also, as a result of raids in the village of Lenin in the Alamedin district of the Chui region, a workshop engaged in the production of the low-alcohol beverage "Makgeolli" was identified. Here, too, the necessary permits and licenses were not obtained, and excise stamps were not affixed, which is a violation of the law.
In connection with the identified violations, acts were drawn up and administrative fines were imposed. The STS reminded that for the sale of up to 200 units of excise goods without excise stamps, a fine of 100,000 soms is provided, and for the sale of more than 200 units, criminal liability may arise, up to imprisonment for a term of up to 7 years.
