Underground alcohol production facilities identified in Bishkek

Inspections revealed that production was carried out without the necessary licenses and permits, as well as without the payment of excise tax and the application of excise stamps on the products. In light of the identified violations, the materials were handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.

Additionally, in the village of Lenin, located in the Alamudun district of the Chui region, a facility producing the low-alcohol drink "Makgeolli" was also discovered. Similarly, this production was conducted without licenses and permits.

As a result of the identified violations, relevant acts were drawn up, and administrative fines were imposed.

It is worth noting that a fine of 100,000 soms is imposed for the sale of up to 200 units of excise goods without excise stamps. For the sale of more than 200 units, criminal liability may apply, including imprisonment for up to 7 years.

The State Tax Service strongly urges entrepreneurs not to engage in the sale of excise goods without excise stamps and to carefully verify their authenticity. Citizens are also advised to pay attention to the presence of excise stamps on alcoholic products and, in case of discovering suspicious goods, to promptly report to the tax authorities.

The authenticity of the excise stamp can be verified using the mobile application "Salyk," which provides the ability to scan and manually enter information.
