A 34-year-old woman from Bishkek contacted the police on February 11 for help, stating that her ex-husband came to her rented apartment, beat her, twisted her arms, and began to threaten her.
During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the couple officially separated in August 2020, but the ex-husband continues to stalk his former wife. Since 2025, she has repeatedly contacted law enforcement — a total of five times. Despite the administrative measures that were applied to the man, his behavior did not change.
This incident has been registered under Article 138, Part 1 ("Torture") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Police officers detained the suspect, born in 1989, named A.A., who was placed in a temporary detention facility.
An investigation is currently underway.
