The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported the detention of two more individuals suspected of organizing mass riots.
Previously, based on information published in the media and on the internet, individuals suspected of similar actions were identified and detained.
The ministry emphasized that these actions could lead to political instability and public discord, which, in turn, threatens the internal unity and stability of the country.
A criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of article 278 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning mass riots.
During investigative actions, two individuals were identified and detained: A.K., born in 1966, and K.A., born in 1968. In accordance with article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code, they have been placed in a temporary detention facility.
These suspects are accused of organizing mass riots as well as committing other unlawful actions. Searches were conducted at their places of residence.
It has been preliminarily established that they created a group that spread calls for early presidential elections and attempted to convey unverified information to the public.
Investigative actions are ongoing.
