A corruption scheme was uncovered during the enrollment process in driving schools
In the Batken region, a corruption scheme related to the illegal enrollment of cadets in driving schools has been revealed, reported the press service of the GKNB.
According to the committee's information, some driving school owners organized fictitious enrollment of citizens in courses, despite the fact that they were not located in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. To obtain illegal profits, enrollments were conducted remotely, without actual participation in both theoretical and practical classes, with the issuance of forged documentation confirming course completion.
“As a result, a mechanism emerged whereby individuals, lacking knowledge of traffic rules and minimal driving skills, arrive in the Kyrgyz Republic after completing formal 'training.' They receive certificates of course completion and, with the help of corrupt officials, pass theoretical and practical exams, obtaining driver's licenses,” explained the GKNB.
During the investigation, searches were conducted, resulting in the collection of materials confirming the facts of the investigation. The work continues, and the process of revoking driver's licenses issued under this scheme is also underway.
