The corruption scheme in the Batken region involves the illegal enrollment of cadets in driving schools.
As a result of this scheme, individuals lacking knowledge of traffic rules and minimal driving skills arrive in the Kyrgyz Republic after formal "training," where they receive certificates of course completion. With the help of corrupt officials, they pass exams and obtain driver's licenses, reports the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
During authorized searches as part of the criminal case, evidence of systematic enrollment of cadets in private driving schools while being outside the country was collected.
Currently, operational investigative actions are ongoing, aimed at identifying other participants in the corruption scheme and revoking driver's licenses obtained through criminal means.
