The official has already incurred expenses amounting to 2.2 million soms
The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) has uncovered a corruption scheme related to the illegal transfer of land into private hands. This information was provided by the committee's press service.
Under suspicion is U. B., who holds the position of head of the Kara-Kul city architecture and construction department.
According to the investigation, in 2021, when U. B. was working as a chief specialist in the urban planning and architecture department of the Uzgen district in the Osh region, he received 2 million soms from M. D. for the allocation of four plots of land, each 7 acres, in the territory of the Bash-Debe rural administration. U. B. allegedly promised the woman to carry out all necessary procedures informally and later received another 200,000 soms for supposedly processing state acts and registering the land.
However, U. B. was unable to implement his plan due to the onset of an active state policy against corruption in the country. He used the funds for personal needs.
On February 4, U. B. was detained as part of a criminal case on charges of "Fraud using official position".
