Special services report that U.B. promised M.D. to informally carry out all necessary procedures for obtaining plots, and later requested another 200,000 soms under the pretext of formalizing the corresponding state acts and land registration. However, due to the start of an active fight against corruption in the country, U.B. was unable to carry out his criminal plans and transfer the plots into private ownership of M.D.
According to the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), the intensified fight against corruption and the active actions of the special services prevented U.B. from completing his scheme, and he used the 2.2 million soms he received for personal needs.
On February 4, 2026, U.B. was charged under Article 209, Part 4, Clause 4 (fraud using official position) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and was placed in custody.
Currently, the investigation of the criminal case is ongoing, and measures are being taken to identify other involved persons and similar cases.
