
According to information provided by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), on February 8, 2026, a citizen of Kazakhstan was detained, who was found to have 5 kilograms of the synthetic drug "Alpha-PVP." This detention was the result of investigative and operational activities related to the pre-trial proceedings under Article 282, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
The suspect has already been placed in the GKNB detention center, and additional investigative actions are currently underway to identify the organizers of this drug trafficking channel.
The agency noted that illegal production, acquisition, storage, transportation, and distribution of drugs and psychotropic substances are punishable by up to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The GKNB also urges all citizens to report any known facts of illegal drug trafficking, guaranteeing them complete anonymity.
