According to information received by the duty unit of the Internal Affairs Department of the Bazar-Korgon district, on February 5, 2026, a local resident T.M., born in 1991, filed a complaint.
In his statement, he indicated that his grandfather, born in 1955, had committed physical and sexual violence against his granddaughter, who was born in 2011. The complainant requested that necessary actions be taken in accordance with the law.
The complaint was registered by the investigative service of the Bazar-Korgon district police, and a criminal case was opened under Article 154 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning "Rape".
Judicial medical examinations for the girl were also appointed, as specified in the official statement.
On the same day, February 5, the 71-year-old suspect M.M. was detained. According to the decision of the Bazar-Korgon district court, he will be held in custody for two months.
