71-year-old man suspected of raping 15-year-old granddaughter

In the Bazar-Korgon district, a 71-year-old man has come under suspicion of raping his 15-year-old granddaughter. This information was received by the editorial office of Kaktus.media from representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to available data, on February 5 of this year, a local resident born in 1991, named T. M., approached the Bazar-Korgon district police department.
He reported that M. M., born in 1955, subjected his granddaughter, born in 2011, to physical violence and committed sexual acts against her in his home.
Based on this report, the investigative authorities initiated a criminal case under the article "Rape" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. All necessary examinations have been appointed for the girl.
On the same day, February 5, the suspect M. M. was placed in a temporary detention facility, and the court ordered him to be held in custody for two months pending the completion of the investigation.
