The detention was carried out on January 29, 2026, by the GKNB Department for the Issyk-Kul Region as part of a criminal case related to extortion.
According to the GKNB, it was revealed that "K.M.A." demanded a bribe from entrepreneurs providing tourist services in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region to reduce the amount of the fine for the absence of a seal on the electricity meter.
Currently, "K.M.A." is in the temporary detention facility of the Internal Affairs Department of the city of Karakol, and investigative actions are ongoing.
