
An accident occurred at the Kashkulak ski resort involving a 16-year-old girl, as reported by the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Chui region. The incident took place on February 8, 2026, around 21:40, when the Alamudun District Police Department received a report that a skier had fallen into a gorge in the village of Baytik in the Alamudun district.
According to preliminary investigation data, T.A., born in 2006, arrived at the resort with friends to engage in skiing. After obtaining ski passes, they began skiing; however, during a descent at high speed, the girl broke through a rope barrier set at the edge of the cliff and fell into the gorge.
As a result of the fall, T.A. sustained serious injuries and was urgently transported to the intensive care unit of the trauma department of the National Hospital in Bishkek. Initial medical assessments indicated fractures of both legs, the left arm, and the spine.
In connection with this incident, a forensic medical examination has been appointed. An investigation is underway, and a decision will be made in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic based on its results.
