Situation in the country as of the morning of February 2: avalanche threat and fire report

On the morning of February 2, snow avalanches and blizzards are expected in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan due to a complicated avalanche situation. This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the agency, there will also be icy conditions and ice formation on the following road sections:

the Bishkek—Osh highway, 198–255 km (Ala-Bel Pass, Chychkan Gorge);

the Karakol—Enilchek highway, 45–90 km (Chon-Ashuu Pass).

In this regard, drivers are advised to maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles.

Additionally, over the past 24 hours, 8 fire incidents have been registered in the Osh, Jalal-Abad, Talas, and Issyk-Kul regions, as well as in the city of Osh.

According to the fire and rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, 13 units were involved in extinguishing the fires.

Of these, 4 responses were carried out in the Osh region, 1 in the Jalal-Abad region, 1 in the city of Osh, 1 in the Talas region, and 1 in the Issyk-Kul region.

Rescue services also conducted 2 responses.
