A suspect in extortion has been arrested in Bishkek. According to the Internal Affairs Department of the Oktobrskiy district, he was detained while receiving 80,000 soms.
A criminal case for extortion has been initiated under part 1 of article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
A citizen named B.D. reported to the law enforcement authorities. He stated that unknown individuals threatened him in various ways, demanding 150,000 Russian rubles, citing a non-existent debt of his girlfriend. The man approached the police for help.
During operational and investigative activities, police officers established that a 29-year-old citizen, Ch.T., was involved in the crime. He was detained at the moment he was receiving money from the victim. The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, investigative actions in the case are ongoing.
