In Bishkek, a suspect in extortion has been detained

On January 19, a statement was registered at the Department of Internal Affairs of the Oktyabrsky District in Bishkek from a citizen B.D., who reported extortion. According to him, unknown individuals threatened him, demanding 150,000 Russian rubles, citing a debt allegedly owed by his girlfriend. The press service of the capital's Department of Internal Affairs promptly responded to this information.

As a result of the report, a criminal case was initiated under Article 208, Part 1 "Extortion" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Investigative measures allowed for the identification of a 29-year-old citizen, Ch.T., as being involved in this crime. The suspect was caught in the act when he received 80,000 soms from the victim.

After the arrest, Ch.T. was taken to the investigative department of the Oktyabrsky District's Department of Internal Affairs and, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code, was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek Department of Internal Affairs.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing within the framework of the initiated criminal case.
