Attention! Avalanche risk expected at the Ala-Bel and Chon-Ashuu passes
Due to adverse weather conditions, there is a forecasted risk of avalanches in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
According to information from the agency, avalanches, snow drifts, and ice are possible on the following sections of the roads: Bishkek - Osh (198–255 km, Ala-Bel Pass, Chychkan Gorge) and Karakol - Enilchek (45–90 km, Chon-Ashuu Pass).
Drivers are strongly advised to maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
