Snow avalanches may pose a threat to safety on the following sections:
- 121-138 km of the Bishkek—Osh highway (Töö-Ashuu pass) and 198-255 km (Ala-Bel pass, Chychkan gorge);
- 68-74 and 86-101 km of the Ala-Buka—Kanysh-Kiya highway (Chapchyma pass);
- 0-3 km of the Krasnaya Gorka—Ak-Tash highway;
- 65-110 km of the Myrza-Ake—Kara-Kulja—Alayku highway;
- 45-90 km of the Karakol—Enilchek highway (Chong-Ashuu pass);
- 326-349 km of the Balikchy—Kazaraman—Jalal-Abad highway (Kok-Art pass).
The Ministry of Emergency Situations advises drivers to maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles on the specified sections of the roads.
