GKNB: In the Suzak District, a 12.8-hectare airstrip has been returned to state ownership
This plot, which was allocated to the Suzak inter-farm association "Plodorodie" in 1978 for the aviation servicing of agricultural lands, was of significant importance for ensuring food security and the development of the country's agricultural sector. However, during the reforms and the collapse of agricultural enterprises, the airfield was unlawfully transferred into private hands through corrupt schemes.
According to the information, in 2003, the head of the Bayysh rural district "M.J." abused his authority and disregarded the interests of the state by making an illegal decision to transfer the specified plot to his relative "M.S.". As a result of the investigative and operational activities, the plot of 12.8 hectares was returned to municipal ownership,” the press release states.
Currently, the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic is conducting an inspection of the legality of the use of all lands that previously belonged to agricultural chemistry enterprises, and based on the results of this inspection, necessary measures will be taken in accordance with the current legislation of Kyrgyzstan.
