The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS) has uncovered a case of illegal privatization of important state agricultural property.
According to the agency, the plot, which was allocated to the Suzak inter-farm association "Plodorodie" in 1978 for aviation servicing of agricultural lands, was of significant importance for food security and the development of the country's agricultural sector. However, during the process of reforms and the liquidation of agricultural enterprises, using corrupt schemes, the airfield was illegally transferred into private hands.
In particular, in 2003, abusing his official powers, the head of the Bagysh rural administration, M.J., made an illegal decision to transfer this plot to his relative M.S., which contradicted the interests of the state.
As a result of the investigative and operational measures taken, the plot of 12.8 hectares was returned to municipal ownership.
Currently, the SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic is conducting a comprehensive review of the legality of all lands previously owned by enterprises operating in the field of agricultural chemistry. Based on the results of the review, appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
